The Holly Springs Police Department is a full service state accredited police agency. The department is made up of the command staff, sworn officers and civilian staff. The Police Chief manages the department and is assisted by a Captain. The department manages police administrative services to include internal affairs, administration, and training along with field operations to include criminal investigations, uniform patrol, K9 unit, community policing programs, and a Police Explorer program for young adults aged 14 (if in the 9th grade) to 21.

Holly Springs Police Department and Columbia Southern University have formed a Learning Partnership which allows employees of the Holly Springs Police Department, their spouses and children, to take advantage of CSU's low tuition rate and receive a 10% tuition discount.
